GM TELEPORT SMITER GUIDE
Base Dmg Phase Blade Cta 2017
About my build:
I teleport fast and know how to up-charge, what else could I need?
Skill build (level 95)
combat:
20 smite
20 holy shield
20 charge
1 fist of heaven
5sock eth Crystal Sword - Why do people need this? I realy cant understand this. Crap base speed/dmg. And on EuL it is worth mal/ist. I cant think of any runeword that requires such a base wep. I thought maybe people refer to `phase blade` as crystal sword, but pb cant be etheral. Field-casting is a legit way to prebuff in gm duels. All you need to do is fill your cube up with maras/shako/bk rings and replace a gc/sc in your inventory with your cube to carry it outside of town. Then you switch gear, cast bo, and switch back to original setup. Doing this takes a bit of extra time, but it does give higher life.

Hotkeys
you’ll need to get good with hotkeys before you can start to learn how to use a smiter. switching to “throw weapon” or “FoH” while holding a left side namelock will allow you to teleport using your right click. these are the hotkeys I use:
Base Dmg Phase Blade Cta System
A – smite(left)
Z – fanat(right)
S – teleport(right)
X – throw weapon(left)
D – charge(left)
C – vigor(right)
F – foh(left)
V – holy freeze(right)
mousewheel up – meditation
mousewheel down – cleansing
J – battle cry
K – battle command
L – holy shield
E – guided arrow
Tactics
I’ll just list some cool tricks you can use on pally. if you want certain information on a match-up post here and I’ll give you my opinion on it.
Field-cast
field-casting is a legit way to prebuff in gm duels. all you need to do is fill your cube up with maras/shako/bk rings and replace a gc/sc in your inventory with your cube to carry it outside of town. then you switch gear, cast bo, and switch back to original setup. doing this takes a bit of extra time, but it does give higher life. also, you could potentially put in good swap items like widow maker without losing your cta.
Desynch
here’s the most effective way i found to desynch:
– make sure your opponent is on your map
– charge about a third of a screen(to build up desynch) towards an object(corner, puddle, or house, and it must be obstructing your path)
– right before you reach the object quickly move around it, and move back in the direction you were going
– once this is done correctly, you can charge whichever way forward you’d like and they’ll still see you stuck on the object. until they leave map, get hit, or you walk(not charge) you’ll be motionless on their map.
-generally try to do long, curving vigor charges
fact about charge speed:
-+frw doesn’t work
-vigor will make you charge quicker
-heavy/medium armors make you move slower
facts about desynch:
-charging with vigor moves faster than the server keeps up with, you’ll always be slightly behind on your opponents map
-you don’t start desynching until you’re on your opponents map
-your desynch will break the second they leave your map(the instant they leave your mini-map you won’t be desynching.)
The up-charge
up charging is pre-charging directly upwards(cursor top of screen in the middle) in anticipation someone is about to teleport on you. it’s basically a way to get tons of free kills, especially vs. druids since it hits past summons. basically you’ll just hear yourself hitting them a bunch of times… if it stops you should charge down/away quickly. with good practice you’ll be baiting people a lot, using it as an offensive escape, and you should have an extremely good sense of when to use it.
FoH chainlocking
every time you smite someone they’re going to have swirls on their head for about 10 seconds. this is a huge opportunity to kill them using foh-chainlock. once those swirls appear your foh will put them into fhr animation, so you can foh>teleport>smite before they can move away. you should never foh until you see the swirls, unless it’s a sin with claw block. i suggest namelocking foh because if you spam it you won’t be able to follow it up with a tele-smite.
Team namelock / charge bug
the purpose of this trick is to see whatever is on your team mates screen while remaining very far away from him. in turn, you can namelock anyone he sees without being near them.
Base Dmg Phase Blade Cta 2
the first thing you need to learn is how to namelock your own team mates:
-hostile player a
-ally player a
-hostile player a two times quickly(it will say you can’t do it) and the swords will be stuck crossed, and you’ll still be allied(but not green.) it takes some practice, once you get the timing it’s just two clicks.
once you have that down, this is how you preform the trick:
-namelock charge your own teammate(you’ll only move on your screen)
-ask him to teleport as close as he can to another team but not leave your map(he won’t see you moving)
-on your screen you’ll be charging forward, and able to namelock enemies, but you won’t actually move. it’s a lot like maphack scroll(but legit).
-once you see someone near your team mate(remember you’re not actually near him) feel free to teleport smite them.
Back locking
back locking is a way to namelock someone while moving far away from them. all you need to do is be near the edge of your opponents map, do a long charge off screen while putting your cursor back on their name and namelocking them with throw weapon, or even a single teleport(usually what i do.) if you do this properly you can land very unexpected hits and sneaky hits.
Base Dmg Phase Blade Cta 3
86 fcr
86-124 fcr casts 1 frame earlier compared to 75-85 fcr. it’s noticeably less laggy but it’s really hard to hit. i try to use it whenever i don’t need dr.
On every OS X Lion installation a hidden partition is created to enable a method for Lion to be reinstalled on the machine, it is known as the recovery partition or drive and is 650mb in size.
If you bought a new machine from Apple you have OS X 10.7 already installed – but no back up disk! and since you haven’t bought the OSX Lion 10.7 App from the App store you can’t re-download it – so thats why you have the recovery drive as a partition in your main hard drive and to boot from it you need to restart the machine holding down “command” + “r” keys.
From recovery mode you can run Disk Utility, get online help and do a restore from a Time Machine backup and re-install Lion leaving all your other files intact – it just replaces the core operating system.
You can make a bootable USB drive or disk of the recovery drive, but involves a small trip to the Terminal….
1) Launch Terminal from /Applications/Utilities and run:
The primary drive in this list is No.2 with the “Identifier” of disk0s2, the boot recovery drive is disk0s3
We can also identify the recovery drive by the name and the size – set at 650mb
2) Mount the drive:
Output should be:
Now the Recovery HD is mounted in the Finder and you can see it in the sidebar under Devices
Navigate to it from the sidebar – Recovery HD/com.apple.recovery.boot/BaseSystem.dmg.
3) Doubleclick BaseSystem.dmg to mount it also in the sidebar. This will mount the volume ” Mac OSX Base System”
mac-osx-lion-base-system
4) Open Disk Utility in /Applications/Utilities
5) Put in a 2GB+ USB drive, let Disk Utility load it. The USB drive needs to be formatted as Mac OS Extended Journaled, if its not, its time to format it in Disk Utility…
6) Finally in still in Disk Utility, select the “Restore” tab – drag the mounted volume “Mac OSX Base System” into the Source field and drag the USB drive “Volume” (mine is called SuperBootUSBDrive) to the Destination.
restore-volume-osx-usb
7) Click Restore – 25 minutes later – One bootable USB drive
Base Dmg Phase Blade Cta Tool
Your bootable USB drive will be called “Mac OS X Base System” after the restore is complete. Now to boot from it just select it as the Start Up disk in System Preferences or hold down option key on boot and select it from the choice of bootable devices.
If you have downloaded the Lion App from the App Store then you can also make a boot disk/drive from this, guide is here, you need to make the boot drive/disk before you install the Lion App, as the installer is deleted after running it. Thats why the guide here can get you out of trouble.
Couple of footnotes on this – Apple has released a knowledgebase article about the recovery partition, also just released from Apple is an app that will do the same as above.
Update For Newer Models – hidden BaseSystem.dmg
If you have the latest models from Apple that came already shipped with OSX 10.7, then you may not have the “BaseSystem.dmg” but instead see a “BaseSystem.chunklist” , the “BaseSystem.dmg” is there it’s just hidden.
To show it so you can see it in the finder – go to Terminal – enter:
Now it will be visible in the Finder.
